Danse Ecosse is an historical dance group based in Inverness, Scotland.  The group was established in 2002 and since then has been building a repertoire of Renaissance Dances as danced in the Courts of Scotland and the rest of Europe. The group uses published research based on original source material as well as working directly from surviving dance manuscripts from the 15th to 17th Centuries. The group also conducts research on dance in Renaissance Scotland.  Our costumes are based on historical documents and portraits.
